The Ultrafly 5 is an amazing daily trainer that I use in my rotation. It has light pronation support and the new update added 2mm of additional cushioning for even more comfort than the previous model. It has a responsive ride with a light midsole foam.
The upper is very breathable with recycled materials.
-5mm drop and just under 10oz in a size 9.

Use them for daily/lifestyle as well. The Phantom 3 is a great shoe to trial and would have worked too. But similar cush with little less stack height and stability tipped the scale to these. Stability features low key, unobtrusive and work for me with one foot medium arch, the other noticeably flatter. Have Altra Escalante 4s too. Very nice but touch of rise, stability means Ultraflys will get used more. These are also accommodating foot pain, gout flare recovery and fascia soreness like issues so far. Time will tell.
The grey is likely to be a dirt magnet for me. I’m ok with that but was still thinking of the black version for down the road. Only funk so far is the size of the sole voids front foot. Seem large for that area. Not sure if I’m feeling those because of my gate or my imagination. . Not a detractor even if, just something to feel out.

I have spent a lot of time in various shoes over the years and have finally been blown away to a whole new level. Topo has given me a feeling I hadn’t thought possible. The perfect shoe. It’s hard to describe until you put them on and get some miles behind you. But, do yourself a favor and try these shoes! #sweepstakes

On my feet all day for work with an average of 20,000 steps daily and they’ve never let me down

First time trying Topo. Comparing them to Altra – the two brands with the larger toe box. I need a stability shoe, and prefer the Ultrafly over the Atmos. Atmos has more cushioning, similar to a Hoka, but my foot rolled too much. Ultrafly have less cushioning than the Atmos, but good enough, and have more stability, foot feels more secure. Nice roomy toe box, and orthotics fit nicely. Size feels the same as other brands.

I purchased this shoe, as I’ve had the low hikers before hand, and LOVE it. I normally have to purchase wide shoes but the Topo’s are roomy enough to accommodate my need to protect my feet. I have Morton’s Neuroma in both, these shoes are so comfortable, right out of the box, that I don’t need arch supports or non-standard inserts. I wore them for a week all through Iceland this summer and only swapped them out for my Topo hiking shoes.

Me: 134 pound, heel-striking, pronator.
Midsole: Wonderfully shock absorbing. Is right at the point of soft and firm.
Pronation control: Excellent. Non-intrusive. Guides both medial and lateral movement. Description cites light correction. I would classify it as a bit stronger than that.
Upper: Great fit. Very conforming for heel & mid-foot. Toes are very happy with all the space. Thick tongue allows tying tightly without hurting top of foot.
Heel strike to toe-off transition: Smooth & quiet.

I have a job that involves a lot of walking on hard floors, and I used to get the worst pain in the front of my feet from my shoes. The toe box of Topo has made my job so much more comfortable.

I like the brand , my wide foot fits great . The fit is comfortable out of the box. I’m using this for a daily jog /walk on paved surface 5 miles , steep up hill and down plus flats. Lace lock is a must or down hill my foot slips. The inner sole is nice however after 25 miles its showing pressure points of wear and compression. The heel for me could use a little more cushion . The exterior fabric has never failed my like other brands . The bead around the ankle is comfortable , however in step motion there is a crease that separates from the sock and allows stuff like stones etc to fall in. The new tread design is so much better then the previous version , I hope the will last at least 100 miles. The previous version lasted me about 50 miles before the bottoms were trashed. Gets a bit expensive especially when the insoles need to be replaced somewhere in the life of the shoe . All my running, hiking and walking shoes are Topo. Love the fit, maybe better longevity and better pricing as for me they are a bit pricy. The Topo brand has helped my thru chin splints and a nasty case of planter fasciitis .

A little too much heel slip in these, otherwise, a nice fit!

I really like them but since I have a big foot for a women, they don’t make my size and I forced to buy men’s. I wish they made a size 12 in women’s because the men’s are wider than I want them to be. I would like them to fit a little snugger around my arch

Love using them with and without socks. I don’t run anymore, but loved the fit of my Topos so I use them now for walking, travel and lifestyle. So comfortable I don’t even think about what’s on my feet!

I wear a men’s size 11 generally and these were true to size. They were comfortable but I have one foot that has had a couple of surgeries and the heel part was too narrow for me on that foot. It made the shoe rub weird along my heel and arch. Overall, great comfy shoe just didn’t work for me.

I am NOT a runner but we do a couple of Disney half marathons every year. I need stability against pronating, a wide toe box, and a low drop. Missing on any of that combo has resulted in injuries in the past. I thought I was going to half to alternate between Altras, barefoot shoes, or pain until I found these. First event was a 10k Saturday and a half marathon Sunday. My Topos performed like a champ. I’m hooked.

I use my topos for walking and road running. They fit well, the tow box is awesome, and the drop is perfect for me. Very stabil but still enough cushion.
Craig –
I have used these shoes for everything, daily walking 10-15,000 steps per day. low-mid level hikes, and even outside pickleball. My feet feel great, the support is great and of course I love the roomy toe box. Looking for a trail shoe next. Love Topo, use to be a Altra user, but I prefer your fit and quality. Keep up the great work.

So happy to upgrade from the magnify 5. I spend about 60-70hrs a week working in the restaurant and TOPOS keep me fresh. I love that the Ultrafly Is more of a support and stability shoe.
Matthew –
Super comfortable, love the wider toe box and the vibrant orange color.

These shoes have really helped alleviate foot pain I’ve experienced over the years. They fit my feet perfectly.

fit and size are good. love the space in the toebox. feet feel great running

Love these shoes. Switched from regular buyer of Asic shoes.
Rolando –
I’m getting back from injury and I found the perfect shoe for it. The stability things that the shoe has are just enough to keep my foot and ankle stable while being unobtrusive enough to bother me. It does feel plush enough to love anything from a 5k training run to 15k or so, anything more I might need a bit more cushioning. It’s also good enough to pick up the pace and not feel too heavy. Now I wonder is there any stability shoe that might be a bit faster so I can do half’s and full marathons on?

I miss Ultrafly 4’s A LOT! These are not as comfortable, my feet ache more from standing alone.

Physical therapist recommended these in the wide size for bunion and plantar fasciitis (over Hoka wides), and these are spot on! Even wider toe box than Hokas. Super comfortable and they fit perfectly.
I don’t care about style so 3 stars = “whatever.”
Blaine –
I use my topos mainly for walking. So far they are the only shoe that doesn’t hurt my feet.
If this keeps up i’ll be buying more Topos!.
