Overall size and fit was fine. The shoe had a little more cushion than xa pro 3d, can pro v9 and my x-ultra 3. I like firmer shoe, too much cushion, air, or bounce tend to make my knees, legs, and feet hurt much more at the end of the day. The matrix upper was extremely breathable, one shoe I could wear 10+ hours and my feet/socks felt like I had only had a shoe on for 30 minutes. First shoe I’ve had with the matrix but I definitely liked it.

Toe box is comically narrow. Toe box on the Thundercross is comically wide. What is going on at Salomon these days?
