Beautiful dress…very slender fit in shoulders. I wear a size 4 (5’0, 129lbs, 36C, athletic build) in practically everything. Not this one. The shoulders are very slim, while waist and hips fit very well. Consider sizing up.

Nice material and beautifully crafted. Sort of difficult to get into re the side zipper and the cape, but once on it was comfortable.. I am 5”6”, 120 lbs with a tomboy figure and this dress didn’t fit me well. I bought the sz 4. It fit fine in the chest ( 36A but I I have a big rib cage ) . The waist and the hips especially were sized generously and so it was just too baggy for my straight figure. Tailoring it would have been difficult because of the side zipper and the lining. Loved the look on the model but not on me. Returning

So glad I found this. Have gained weight over the years and was looking for something to cover a tummy and not-so-toned arms. Sigh. Usually dresses make me feel completely frumpy so much so that I’ve been avoiding parties and galas. Thankfully this was so much better than I expected. Modern and so forgiving – it’s perfect for an event I have to attend. Get it if you can.

I purchased this cape dress for a funeral and not a cocktail party. It is true to size and if you’re buxom like myself, I recommend sizing up. The fit was perfect and this is an elegant cape dress with quality material that can transition from warm to cold weather climates.
The length hit just above the knee and I styled the dress with sateen black hosiery from Wolford, and a Eugenia Kim boaters hat with black lace covering. I admit that I was channeling Meghan Markle when she attended the Queen’s funeral.
This dress is not bodycon nor too form-fitting and I was thrilled with the price point as well. I almost went with a cape dress 6x the cost.
If you are buying this dress for a cocktail party, you can style it with bold jewelry and go bare-legged with open-toe heels.
I bought 3 dresses online (another cape dress that was too voluminous), all considerably more expensive, and this dress and its quality looked more chic than its fashion counterparts.
Thank you, Ralph Lauren! I was able to pay proper and demure respects to a beloved family member in an exquisitely designed cape dress!

This is the perfect sassy dress for an evening event! I love the lightweight fabric and the movement with the cape. You can wear a regular bra and the forgiving shape of the dress means NO SPANX! very stylish and comfortable!
