A big letdown in the design especially for a Donald Pliner shoe which I love.. Where the thong piece attaches to the top strap, there is stitching that looks so out of place. They don’t look like a designer sandal. Sorry, Donald Pliner, you missed the mark on this one.

What can I say other than–these are the best sandals EVER. They are comfortable (walk-around- New-York-City-all-day-in-July comfortable) and very, very flattering. Just buy them–really. Don’t hesitate. They look good with everything from dresses to yoga pants.

Nice soft leather and good construction, however, the raised toe area in the foot bed of this shoe is not comfortable for me,also the shoe makes the flip flop noise when you walk, the arch support is good. I purchased this shoe thinking it would fit like the SiFi platform that D.Pliner had several years ago, they did not have the footbed like the Fifi. It is a good looking shoe but definitely does not work for me. I wished I had returned the shoes.

Love this shoe. I was able to wear them right out of the box. While it is a little slippery on the bottom initially this is easily fixable by scuffing it up on a rough surface. It did feel a little hard and stiff at first but I never found them uncomfortable. Was able to walk around in them for a couple of hours the first time I wore them. I have very narrow feet and was pleased to find these worked for me.

I’ve been wearing this Pliner style shoe for 5+ years. The shoe is no longer made in Italy where the construction and quality was top notch. I found this shoe to look cheaper, feel cheaper and make an unpleasant sound when walking. Thankfully my old Italian pair is still in good condition. I would not recommend this shoe.

extremely dissatisfied – I have had a pair of “original” Fifi’s that I purchased from another site – I should have known these weren’t right when I saw the box – my original box stated “made in the mountains of Italy” – this box? Says they are made elsewhere – and aren’t they just! way too narrow on the foot bed, and I have a standard sized foot – not wide or fat – so disappointed as I was replacing the last pair that I wore to shreds literally – sending back asap and so not worth the money.

I really loved the design of this shoe, but unfortunately the footbed is (strangely) narrow. I wear a 9.5 in regular width, and the length was perfect, but too narrow. I am sad because I have been eyeing these shoes for a long time, but they are too expensive not to fit correctly so they are being returned. Also, the footbed material sticks to your feet and makes a “sucking” sound, every time you take a step — I think it would be better if that material was leather or suede.

Sorry I had to return this Fifi as it does not fit as well as the older Fifi made in Italy.
My older shoe is 4-5 years and still looks good, although the thong piece has stretched out a little.
If you’ve never worn the earlier version, perhaps you would be satisfied with this version made in China.
Just seems like a cheap version of the earlier Fifi!

I was optimistic in ordering these, as some of the previous reviews said that this sandal ran narrow, and since I normally wear a AA, that was good news to me. They do run narrow and I am very happy with them-so narrow footed gals-here’s a sandal for you!

Love Love this shoe, not sure why I waited so long to buy it, I did not have any issue with the toe area or the narrowness that some other reviewers mentioned. I wear a size 6 medium and it fits perfectly. Quality seems great, no issues

This is my second pair of Fifi’s, the first I wore for 8 years before they started looking a little worn. I wear a 10.5 medium and ordered up to the size 11 for a perfect fit. I feel the shoe was slightly narrower than a typical medium width.

A friend complimented me on my Fifi sandals, which were purchased a few years ago so I decided to buy her a pair. The quality of the leather and the craftsmanship aren’t even close to the ones I own so I shipped them back.

I have ordered multiple orders of Donald Pliner Fiji and the fit is very comfortable. The difference is the cross band on Fiji is made of suede, Fifi is leather and it cuts into the top of my feet.

These run VERY small. I typically wear a 10.5, but I can barely get my foot in the size 11 that I ordered.

Fit true to size. I am a 10 or 10 1/2 and the 10 fit fine. They were not comfortable though. They hurt where you put your toe through and the footbed itself was very hard. I ended up returning them b/c not sure I could wear them for a full day without my feet killing me. I will say I am used to vionic brands and definitely buy shoes for comfort (and try and get ones that look good too). I did think they looked nice, although my sister told me she thought I paid $25 for them!

I have 2 pairs of Fifi’s & these were to be a replacement pair. Everything felt great until i started walking. The thong is too short in both sandals. The thongs cut into my foot. The leather on the cross strap is not worth the money paid for this pair of sandals and I know will never soften up or “give”. Hard to say if this pair are lemons or they are the new Donald Pliner sandals. They are going back. Very disappointed in the quality and workmanship.

I was disappointed in this pair of Fifis. The thong was further back than my other pair making my heel hang off the back and the leather was very stiff. There wasn’t the same cushion as my older pair. Love the style, but it’s a different show now.

This is the third pair of sandals in this style that I have had to send back. Although they were in various colors, the leather was stiff and difficult to wear. I hoped they would break in, but they did not. So I am sending another pair back.
Not the quality that I am used to with all of my other Donald Pliner shoes. ( and I have quite a few).

Have loved these shoes since I first saw them, but cannot walk in them. Toe post is too thick and it effected my gait and my skin. Returning reluctantly.
