My size 9 foot fit the length and width with excellent arch support that I am accustomed to with Chaco’s Eco Tread sandals (discontinued), but the material between the toes is too long for my foot, which does not provide a tight fit. My foot is loose and it could make me trip. These would be perfect for someone with a thick foot (floor to top of foot). But not me.

They don’t make Chacos like they used to. They used to make flips in wide widths. They used to have beefier soles. Now there’s just too little and too light to make it worth it.

I’ve been an avid Chacos wearer since the 90’s and wanted to re-buy my favorite black flips. Sadly, Chacos made the toe strap too loose for my feet, the new model is made for a much thicker foot, the new straps are incredibly loose and made for a much thicker foot than mine. The quality and arch support are excellent and the craftsmanship is still great, I just wish they hadn’t changed the sizing. I’m super sad to have to return these as they are so loose they will not be wearable.

Fits true to size, comfortable from first wear.

I had a pair of these for years and finally the strap is almost ripped off so I’m getting another pair. Expensive flip flops but lasts much much longer than cheap ones and there is excellent traction. With cheap flip flops, the tread wears off and they are Dangerously Slippery on wet surfaces. My old Chacos still had adequate tread on the bottoms of the soles even as the strap wore out. I originally bought them when I was recovering from plantar fasciitis. I bought them because of the excellent arch support. Then I bought several in different colors/sizes. I am still a fan even though the plantar fasciitis is gone.

Chaco comes through again! Love these flips! Chaco flips are legendary and have such a long wear life too. These are my everyday shoes here in the desert and they are the best for arch support and comfort.

I loved the look of the sandal, exactly what I was looking for, but I didn’t like the feel of the feel of the footbed surface on my foot. I was hoping for something a little more smooth – this is a similar texture to the original Chaco hiking sandals I believe. Also, I ordered a size up as they fell too short in the back compared to my normal size (8).

Quality has really gone downhill. This pair is no where near the quality of my older Chaco Classic Flips. The straps on this model are flimsy, the sole is not as substantial, the arch support not as supportive, and now there are white merchandise tags sewn into the insoles of both flip flops next to the straps, which makes it really uncomfortable on the feet. Very disappointed, Chaco was always my go-to brand for flip flops and sandals, now I have to find another brand. Chaco, go back to the quality you used to be known for.

Happy Chaco brought back their Classic flip flop!

I love Chaco’s. My pair that is 10 years old are just black with vibram soles. Thick enough you can actually step on a rock and not cry. Well, the new ones are thin with some type of riffles for the sole. Every small rock a little bigger than a grain of sand sticks in the riffle/baffle so it will end up in the house. I am keeping the flip flops because they do fit well. But I wish they made them like they used too. Much better construction.?

I should have paid closer attention to other reviewers who observed that Chaco changed the fit on this flip flop. I have a wide foot and high instep, so I figured I could get by with the new, longer straps. But no—the new straps won’t hold the footbed on my foot. Major tripping hazard. Also the footbed is less substantial than in previous years. Big bummer!

The straps are way too loose. They feel like they have been stretched out which is the problem with my old Chaco flips that I am trying to replace.

Have had many pairs of Chaco flip flops.
Absolutely the very best sandals. Great fit stay in my feet and no flapping sounds when I walk in them!

Overall Chaco quality have gone down over the years. They used to be heavy and tough not they are any cheap made in China product which is much lighter and regular sole shoe. I will have to find an alternative to chachos in flip flop

I have a pair of the Chaco Classic Flips that I love from 15 years ago. They fit perfectly, but are starting to show their age. These are the same size, and the footbed is the same length, but they are way too loose to wear. They will flip-flop right off my feet! Sadly I’ll have to return then.

Perfect as always. Some other reviewers mentioned a loose strap…I did not have this issue and I would consider my feet on the narrower side. I purchased a size 10.

Chaco heard our pleas! This is the footbed I’ve been missing for years. So glad to have it back.

Runs small. The toe ribbon is uncomfortable and caused rubbing instantly. Blisters were inevitable. Why is there a tag on inside of the strap? Another cause of irritation/rubbing on the foot that is not necessary. Doesn’t seem like the same quality I’m used to from Chaco.

Chaco has gone off the rail. The soles have too much give (trying to go for the cushy ill-conceived comfort by sacrificing the sturdiness and great old foot support?). The new ones do not have enough sturdy support in the sole material. The older versions are so much better. It is a sad reinvention of solid and beloved sandals. Please reconsider what you are doing, Chaco.

Sadly, these are not the quality or comfort that Chacos used to provide. The sizing is off by a full size: I’ve been a woman’s 8 forever, with Chaco and almost all other shoes. These flips were too small by a whole size. I sized up to a size 9 and they fit, but they felt thin and lacked the support of the older version of these flip flops. I’m returning them and don’t recommend them. Chaco, please bring back your older version of these flip flops!

Beware this latest version of the Classic Chaco flip flop is lighter weight and not as sturdy as long time heavy duty versions. Also due to the lack of half sizes, the next full size up may be too large and the size down may be too small.

These fit perfectly. The support is not as good as my older Chaco flips, but still substantially better than any other flipflop.

Toe thong made a huge blister between my toes on both feet. This is my 4th pair of the same chaco and never had this problem.

Can’t wear them …the material between my toes is so rough it blistered my feet. Usually love Chaco…but these are awful.

Longtime Chaco fan here….sadly, I will be looking for another brand to love. These are nothing like the Chacos I have been wearing and loving and extolling the virtues of for decades. Instead of being sturdy, comfy and supportive of my wide feet, these are narrow, ill-fitting and wildly uncomfortable. I am sad.
